A furniture schedule, elevation and room plan can disagree when they come from different revisions. Record the issue date and revision beside each file and identify which document controls an unresolved detail.
Describe a change where it occurs
Mark the affected furniture item and location when changing a finish, opening direction, dimension or interface. An email approval without the matching item or drawing reference is difficult to translate into production.
Close the review deliberately
Keep accepted items, open questions and proposed alternatives visible in the review record. Website visuals help explain a direction; they do not replace coordinated project drawings.
Use the same revision when comparing information
Plan, elevation and schedule can disagree when they come from different revisions. Record the current drawing number and date beside the furniture item and make superseded information recognisable.
Trace the affected items
A useful change record identifies the item, location, previous reference, new decision and open interfaces. It should allow the next project participant to understand what changed without reconstructing an entire conversation.
Information to prepare
| Item | Confirm for the project |
|---|---|
| Room and position | Room type, item location and a drawing reference. |
| Dimensions | Overall sizes, site conditions and the applicable drawing revision. |
| Interfaces | Related services, supporting construction and installation responsibility. |
